HyStars: Multiverse Chronicles
HyStars: Multiverse Chronicles
About this game
The Hyper Multiverse is falling apart. A glitch called the Original Bug is fusing dimensions together and erasing what resists — and only Hyper, a Star born from that very error, can cross between worlds to stop it.
From the neon towers of Hyperia to the drowned ruins of Aquaris, the frozen silence of Glacia, and the living jungle of Florae, every world you enter is dying in its own way — and every world fights back differently. Some throw waves of enemies at you. Some hide their creatures until you're too close to run. Some just wait, patient, for you to make a mistake.
At the heart of each dimension stands a guardian who won't step aside — the Zero Guardian, the Void King, the Eternal Torch, CORE-X, and more — each one a battle unlike any other in the game. Defeat them, and they don't just fall: they join you. Ten dimensions, ten Champions, ten completely different ways to move through the world — a double jump stolen from the void, a wall-climb, a ground pound that shatters obstacles, a dash that phases through danger itself.
And once all ten dimensions have fallen silent... something is still transmitting. One last fight is waiting — not against a monster, but against a reflection of yourself. This last fight uses your webcam, if you allow it: you'll be facing your own face on screen (or a stand-in image if your camera isn't available). What happens after you win is not what you expect.
Features
- 10 dimensions, 10 levels each — a hand-tuned difficulty curve from your first steps to the very end
- 10 playable Champions, each recruited by defeating their dimension's boss, each moving through the world in a genuinely different way
- 10 boss fights, 10 different personalities — chargers, teleporters, snipers, summoners, and worse
- A hidden final challenge — face your own reflection, powered by your webcam
- A soundtrack that's never the same twice — generated live, one mood per dimension
- Full control remapping and an English/French language toggle
- 5 save slots stored locally, plus real portable save files you can export and reload
A few things worth knowing before you play
- There's a Konami code. In the main menu, try the classic sequence on your keyboard. It won't be explained further here.
- A save file is included that drops you close to the very end, skipping most of the game — useful if you want to see the final fight without touching the Konami code.
- Both shortcuts skip content on purpose. The cutscenes and unlock animations between dimensions only play out in full if you clear each dimension yourself. Jump ahead with the cheat code or the fast-forward save, and you'll miss them — that's the trade-off.
Controls
Move · Jump · Dash · Attack · Shield · Super — fully rebindable in Options. Mouse or keyboard for all menus.
